Sam Waldron is one of the great Baptist Amillennialists of our day. He has several published books on the subject of eschatology including The End Times Made Simple. He has also successfully defended Amillennialism in debate.

Today, there appeared an excellent post from Sam Storms on his website titled Childbirth and Death in the New Heavens and New Earth. that I felt was worth mentioning. It’s definitely worthy of a careful read especially in light of the emphasis that our Dispensational Premillennial and Postmillennial brethren place on this passage to substantiate their view of the millennium.

While doing some research relating to Covenant Theology, I came across this sermon by Jeffrey D. Johnson on Amillennialism. The title of the sermon is The 5 Points of Amillennialism which undoubtedly peaked my interest seeing that I’m Calvinistic in my soteriology. I found this sermons very well articulated and I thought I would share.
By the way, the five point of Amillennialism according to Johnson are:
I. Spiritual Israel II. Redemptive-Historical Hermeneutic III. Already, Not Yet IV. No (Geo-Political) Millennium V. Catastrophic Second Coming

Here is a nice summary of the four main eschatological positions produced by Rose Publications which may especially be useful for those who are just beginning to examine the bible’s message on prophecy. It is presented in a very simple fashion to be able to get the basics on the varying issues that these positions take.

Here is an excellent sermon by Voddie Baucham on the Resurrection life in which he spends some quality time looking at the resurrection from the dead and how it relates to the end times.
Voddie Baucham wears many hats. He is a husband, father, pastor, author, professor, conference speaker and church planter. He currently serves as Pastor of Preaching at Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, TX. He has served as an adjunct professor at the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, TX, and Union University in Jackson, TN. He has also lectured at Southern Seminary.
Eternal rest and joy in the presence of God are without doubt the supreme hope of the believer. While there is relatively little in Scripture telling us exactly what we are to expect in the World to Come, there are nevertheless a number of references to New Heavens and a New Earth that do indeed supply a glimpse of our eternal home.
