Islamic Eschatology

islamThe world news agencies have had their fair share of stories relating to Islam especially over the last few months. The stories tend to demonstrate a surge of violence by Islamic radicals who are attacking various countries from Syria, Iraq and recently turning their attention towards Canada and France. While many people draw their understanding of the fastest growing religion from these acts of violence that they see, Islam is a much more complex religion than what is expressed by these radicals.

One aspect of Islamic theology that is often overlooked by the secular world (and Christians also) is how Islam addresses the end-times. What does a Muslim expect to happen at the end of time? We thought it might be useful to post this article as a means of educating our readers in regards to what Muslims believe will happen at the end of the age. The article gives a high level overview of Islamic history and theology with a special section on eschatology.
